La Bohemia

La Bohemia is located in the small town of San Pedro de Cartago in Nariño, Colombia. Here, the Belalcázar-Lasso family has cultivated coffee for generations.

Building on a long family tradition, they began asking a new question in 2012: could they produce an even better coffee from their land? This led them to introduce varieties such as Geisha, Yellow Bourbon, and Pink Bourbon. Their dedication was recognized when their Geisha won 1st place at the 2022 Colombia Cup of Excellence, followed by 2nd and 5th place finishes the following year.

The approximately six-hectare farm lies below the hills of La Jacoba, within a valley shaped by deep canyons. Rich organic soils, steady air currents flowing through the valley, and abundant sunlight allow the coffee cherries to ripen slowly and develop greater density.

Together, these distinctive conditions create the clean, vibrant, and delicately aromatic cup profile for which Nariño coffees are known.
