Ecuador Hacienda Lugmapata

Ecuador Hacienda Lugmapata

High in the mountains of Ecuador, where clouds linger along the slopes, lies Hacienda Lugmapata, a family-run coffee farm in Pallatanga, Chimborazo Province. The farm sits at elevations between 1,670 and 2,000 meters above sea level.

Hacienda Lugmapata has consistently been recognized at Ecuador’s Taza Dorada coffee competition, and its coffees were first introduced to Korea through MOMOS COFFEE.

Over the years, we have continued to return to the farm, observing everything from the condition of the coffee trees to small changes in its processing facilities. Through these repeated visits and the trust built over time, our relationship has grown to the point where the farm now produces custom lots specifically for MOMOS.

At Lugmapata, careful attention is given to every stage of coffee production, from plant genetics and cultivation to harvesting and post-harvest processing. Sidra and Typica Mejorada are among the farm’s principal varieties, alongside Geisha, Ethiopian Typica, and Pacamara.

This close attention to the land, varieties, and processing continues to shape the distinctive coffees of Hacienda Lugmapata.
