Panama Finca Carmen

Located in Paso Ancho, Volcán, Chiriquí, Carmen Estate is one of Panama’s long-established specialty coffee farms. Its story began in 1960, when Efraín and Carmen Franceschi started cultivating Arabica coffee in the highlands near Volcán Barú. The estate’s coffee tradition has continued through generations, with Carlos Aguilera Franceschi carrying forward its focus on quality.

Set at high elevation on the slopes of the Volcán Barú region, the estate benefits from rich volcanic soil, cool nights, abundant sunlight, and a distinctive mountain microclimate. These conditions allow coffee cherries to mature slowly, contributing to greater sweetness and complexity in the cup.

Only fully ripe cherries are selectively handpicked and carefully processed. From traditional varieties such as Caturra and Catuai to Geisha, Carmen Estate has built a strong reputation for consistently producing expressive, high-quality Panamanian coffees.
