Los Lajones

Los Lajones is one of producer Graciano Cruz’s signature farms, located in the highlands on the western slopes of Volcán Barú in Boquete, Panama. Beyond Panama, Graciano has been involved in coffee production projects across origins including El Salvador, Peru, and Brazil, continuously exploring new approaches to processing and quality.

What truly defines Los Lajones is its long-standing commitment to environmentally conscious farming. Rather than relying on chemical pest control, Graciano adopted biological methods using microorganisms, making Los Lajones one of the early farms in Panama to embrace organic coffee production.

Native forest and vegetation remain intact around the farm, while in the higher elevations, bamboo grows alongside coffee trees, creating a naturally shaded environment. For Graciano, the farm and its surrounding ecosystem are not separate entities, but parts of a single interconnected system.

This holistic approach to coffee and nature has remained at the heart of Los Lajones for many years.
