ORIGIN STORY
La Guadua
In the highlands of Nariño, more than 2,000 meters above sea level, low temperatures and lingering fog create an environment in which coffee cherries ripen slowly.
La Guadua Farm cultivates approximately 40,000 coffee trees across roughly 12 hectares, producing a range of varieties — including Geisha — within a natural setting surrounded by native forest.
The farm is run by Jimmy Gómez and Yeison Burbano, second-generation coffee farmers. Jimmy entered the specialty coffee field and gradually shifted the farm toward a quality-centered approach grounded in cupping and quality analysis. That shift has begun to earn recognition through competitions and external evaluations.

Harvest and Processing
Only fully ripe cherries are selected, and processing begins on the day of harvest.
Fermentation then takes place in mucilage, in an environment sealed from light and air. The coffee is dried slowly under sunlight over the course of two weeks.
The Puente Geisha Fully Washed we imported this time most clearly reflects that philosophy. When we cupped it at origin, what stood out first was not exaggerated intensity, but a precise and transparent elegance.
On the clean structure typical of a fully washed process, the delicate aromatics of the Geisha variety were distinctly expressed, with each sip maintaining clarity and continuity without distortion.
Behind this clean cup lies the gradual change initiated by six producers, which has accumulated into what Puente Geisha Fully Washed is today. We hope this coffee will be remembered for a long time for its clean and refined expression of classic Geisha.
